By using PasteDB, you agree to the following terms. Please read carefully.
PasteDB is a developer tool that allows users to create and share text-based pastes. PasteDB allows users to create, store, and share text, code, images, and other supported content. The visibility and accessibility of a paste depend on the privacy and sharing settings selected by the user.
Google login is used for authentication. Logged-in users can manage (edit/delete) their own pastes. Non-logged users can create pastes without ownership control.
You retain ownership of your content. However, by publishing a paste, you grant PasteDB permission to store and serve it publicly.
Users are fully responsible for the content they publish. Illegal, harmful, or abusive content is strictly prohibited.
Logged-in users' pastes are stored in MongoDB and linked to their account. Anonymous pastes may not be editable or deletable later.
PasteDB may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
1. No AI Training or Data Sale
We do not use any pastes, images, or user content to train AI models. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or AI training purposes. Your content is only used to provide the PasteDB service to you.
2. Data Storage & Liability
PasteDB uses third-party infrastructure providers, including MongoDB Atlas
and Cloudinary, to store and deliver data required to operate the service.
Depending on the paste's security settings, content may be stored either
in readable form or in encrypted form. For end-to-end encrypted (E2EE)
pastes, PasteDB is designed so that the plaintext content and encryption
keys are not available to the server during normal operation.
While we take reasonable measures to protect stored data, no online
service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
PasteDB is not responsible for data loss, corruption, service outages,
or security incidents caused by third-party infrastructure or events
outside our reasonable control. Users should keep backups of important
content.
PasteDB provides optional end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for supported private content. When E2EE is enabled, encryption and decryption are performed on the user's device using cryptographic keys.
PasteDB does not receive the plaintext encryption key used to protect encrypted content. Because encryption keys are managed on the user's devices, losing access to those keys may result in the inability to decrypt previously encrypted content.
Users are responsible for maintaining access to their trusted devices and any supported recovery or key-transfer mechanisms.
PasteDB may allow users to authorize additional devices for access to encrypted content. A previously trusted device may be used to securely transfer the account's encryption key to an authorized new device.
Device authorization may use public-key cryptography and QR-based transfer mechanisms. The private key associated with a device is intended to remain on that device.
Users are responsible for approving only devices they recognize.
PasteDB may provide command-line tools, APIs, SDKs, and other developer interfaces for creating, retrieving, updating, and managing content.
Users are responsible for protecting their API keys, authentication credentials, and other access tokens. You should not intentionally expose API keys in public repositories, client-side applications, or shared content.
PasteDB may impose reasonable limits, modify APIs, or discontinue developer features when necessary to maintain or improve the service.
PasteDB uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data and account information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
Users should maintain their own backups of important content and should not use PasteDB as the sole storage location for critical data.
If you discover a potential security vulnerability in PasteDB, please report it through the available contact channel rather than attempting to access, modify, or disclose other users' data.
PasteDB is provided on an evolving basis. Features, APIs, storage limits, integrations, and other parts of the service may change, become temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued.
PasteDB does not guarantee that the service will always be available or that stored content will always remain accessible.
